The Old Skool was our second skateboarding shoe, which over time became an icon far beyond the skate world, especially within the underground music scene. Now, nearly 50 years later, we celebrate this connection with the Premium Old Skool Music Collection, featuring three unique capsules inspired by different eras of Old Skool in music.

The Punk Capsule brings back bold leopard prints and striking solid colors, drawing inspiration from the color assortments introduced by the first punk and hardcore musicians in the '70s and '80s. Our Premium construction retains the same iconic Old Skool silhouette while adapting it for today with enhanced cushioning and fit. Glossy sidewalls, a higher foxing tape, and archival branding pay tribute to original Vans footwear details from the '90s. Designed with sustainable materials—including a regenerated rubber outsole and bio-based insoles—the Premium Old Skool is improved in every way.
